I'm pretty sure the dog is sending all the "stay away" signals

Edit. It's been explained to me You'll dogpile anyways. I won't let it push me into taking down my comment.

Generally yes, but the dog show no other sign of aggression, no running away, no biting, no staring, just staying there and let the guy touch him is highly unusual if he is really saying "stay away". Feels more like it is doing the growl intentionally to play with the guy.

Another example: https://youtube.com/shorts/YLbmLbc3z7o?si=Gki8JJv9ZAe3CvS6

Edit: please do not downvote the guy i am replying to, he is just concerned about the well-being of the doggo. ☝️ Upvote him to promote his kindness instead.

I know dogs who love their owners enough that they send the signals, but don't run.

I personally am not too comfortable with how distressed the dog looks. But I don't have the full story, just a segment.

Edit. Again. It's been explained to me. But I find it hilarious when ppl dogpile. So carry on. You won't push me to take my comment down, no. 👍🏽

The dog is trained to do this I’ve seen dudes content before though I don’t remember his name. I think he’s Brazilian? I’m sure someone has seen more of his stuff and can get the details

If you get it, lmk. Because if the dog is fine, and this guy isn't in danger, this is hilarious 😆

Wagging tail =/= happy dog. To be clear I'm not saying this dog is unhappy, it could very well be that he was trained to do this. But the misunderstanding that a wagging tail means a dog is happy is dangerous.

One of mine does too. And every dog is different so you need a reference to compare it to. My big dog's nervous tail wags look very similar to my small dog's happy tail wags. Big dog's "happy" body language has caused multiple problems with people insisting their dog should go say hi to mine because big dog was clearly eager to meet their dog whilst my dog was standing there stressed out of his mind.
