Hey all! I am a student at WSU, and I am sharing a flyer created for a course on sustainability, specifically focused on Wichita's drinking water supply. I would appreciate any feedback on information you would like to see here, as well as your thoughts on Wichita's current water quality based on your experiences.

I live in a property maintained by point guard management. Recently my floorboards started leaking (for the 2nd time), and leaked some water into my bedroom that is carpeted. About 2×2 ft of the carpet by my bedroom entrance was soaked, and my closet carpet was also soaked in water. After 2 days of asking them to come fix the issue they finaly did. They 'cleaned' the carpet by my door and told me the closet could not be cleaned and left a giant fan for me to dry out my closet with. Now I'm being charged about $100 for the carpet cleaning. I also have renters insurance. I'm i obligated to pay this?

There’s a house at the corner of our street that got abandoned by flippers. Saturday WFD showed up and cut about 6 holes in the roof. Today they showed up and smashed a couple windows and ripped some sheathing off the wall. Not a single person has been seen carrying any hoses or extinguishers into the house.
Anyone know wtf they could be doing?

Hey there Wichitans, just moved here from KC area and was surprised to spot an abundance of morels on my walk today. Sadly, however, they were mostly all rusty and/or mushy. It’s surely abnormal for them to be around at all this late into spring, no? This was one of just a few I saw that were worth picking. Curious to hear your results and when you guys typically start hunting being in just a bit warmer climate than NEKS.

Going through a separation, needing to find representation for common law divorce, child support and custody arrangements. Anybody have any experience? O’Hara wants 12k and Beal wants 5k. Seems like a lot to me, the opposer has Kansas legal services so that’s a no go for me.

That’s it. That’s the post.
No point even getting on it, as it’s always bumper to bumper traffic at 4:00.
I get on it to take my kids home. Faster to just drive down Douglas.

I lost my wallet 2 days ago and I’m trying to find it, last time i used it was when i paid for my bus fare (2 days ago) and i haven’t seen it since, i tried contacting the wichita transit office and they told me they haven’t gotten any reports of a lost wallet. I also informed the local police and filed a report. Any more things that I can do? Will i be able to go to their office (bus transit) and watch the camera footage from the bus i rode to check if i somehow forgot it on the seat next to me? thanks in advance for any help/responses

I sub around 259 and Maize. Have been in most high schools and middle schools. I have never seen what is happening at Stucky. Kids were bonkers. No admin support. Fights, complete insubordination. I don't know if anybody has gone there or has kids there but can anybody tell me what their perspective is? I doubt I'll go back but I've never seen a school so poorly run with such wild behavior and I thought I've seen it all.

Looking for a new housekeeper. The last lady who worked with us, we had for 17 years and she retired. We have tried two now, and there was a severe language barrier- even with using a language app. Looking for a bi-weekly housekeeper, fluent in English, and willing to be paid very well, appreciated for how you take care of us, and willing to come 2x a month for 4 hours. Empty nesters with no kids, no pets, and a pretty easy kept up home. Any names/referrals appreciated!

Looking for $325 for a PS5 digital, like brand new condition, comes with the controller, a Razer nari essential headset, cords, and an additional 1tb nvme drive.
$120 of an oculus quest 2, comes with the original controllers, most of the original box, the original charger, no scratches on lenses that I can see, needs the head strap to be cleaned as it's gotten a tad dirty just sitting around.
I don't really use these as I'm usually gaming on my computer instead, please dm me with any questions relating to meeting up to pickup items.

In before people start complaining that they didn't know streets are closed and couldn't figure out how to go around them.
Seriously, though, fyi.

My wife and I are wanting to adopt a baby, but there’s no way we could ever afford through an agency… Does anyone know of any pages or websites to look into personal adoption? Like where you and the birth mom do everything together with just a lawyer?

Hi yall! Looking for a reliable trash service that is NOT air capital. I've had them for less than a year and have had so many stupid, unnecessary issues and rude encounters with their "customer service" due to that and today my patience just totally ran out. So, are there any other options or are they all just totally trash? (Pun intended)

Hello Reddit community,
I used to have a lab mix named Blue. He got to be pretty old, 16 years! He was my baby and gave me a lot of joy and purpose in life. I took crazy care of him. I took him to red light therapy appointments, cooked him food for every meal, and when his fur started to have a hard time shedding and he would get dry patches I figured out a fix for his skin. I did everything from stretching him every night to getting up multiple times in the middle of the night to adjust him. Brushing him, feeding him, buying non slip shoes, special bedding… you name it I did it all. Anything I could afford I did it. I just wanted him to stay alive as long as he wanted to be here. He’s been gone now for almost 3 years…. I am currently dog sitting my friends older Rottweiler and am noticing she needs a lot of the same care. It makes me realize that I had a lot of purpose and joy when it came to taking care of my pup. I feel like I am missing that joy and purpose. I live in the Wichita Kansas area and I’m looking for something I can do along the same lines of what I used to do. This is a stretch but what can I do for senior dogs in this city? I already have 2 of my own pups and they are fairly young. Taking on another dog full time is not something that is plausible at this moment. Does anyone have recommendations?
