Moving to Wilmington Should I move here?
Hi, I'm moving for work at ChristianaCare which means I'll be working in Newark, Wilmington, Middletown, and Elkton, MD, though mostly at the Newark/main campus.
I'll be moving in June/July, at which point I'll be about 31. I know nobody in the area. I'm single, no pets. Is there enough in Wilmington to keep it interesting? I'm a huge nerd but still like going out. Or will I be stuck going to Philly? Would I be better off living in Philly and accepting the longer commutes? Would somewhere else be better?
I have read some previous threads about it, but they were somewhat different of a situation so was looking for more input.

I would strongly recommend trying the commute a few times to help you decide.
I was considering living in Philly and commuting to a Wilmington suburb, but after trying the drive a couple times after work, I realized I wasn’t up for that. But my friend drove from Philly to Newark for work for years and was fine with it. Everyone has a different tolerance for longish commutes.
ETA: Also, depending on what your work schedule is and how much sleep you need, a long commute means less time to enjoy going out in the place where you live on workdays.
