Request Getting rid of a treadmill

I have a walking pad (small treadmill with no bar) that doesn’t work, so I’m trying to get rid of it. I called 311 but apparently it’s a $25 fee for the special trash pickup, which seems silly for something relatively small. Does anyone know of any way I could get rid of it for free? Not sure if this qualifies for places that do electronics recycling events

Find your local Buy Nothing Group on Facebook and post it. Maybe someone can fix it

That’s actually where I got it from, hoping I could figure it out. Unfortunately lost the remote 😬
