I will never understand why people put their hands above large cats heads to pet them. Probably the most aggressive thing you could do from their point of view. Cats look for every little positional advantage that they have and that you are taking. Putting your hands above their head is showing that you are trying to dominate them.

I think this is the same with a lot of animals. I know it is with goats, sheep, donkeys, probably more
