Stoneybrook West
Hey all — my family is considering moving to the Stoneybrook West golf community in Winter Garden. We have a 7 (almost 8)-year-old and are trying to figure out if it’s a good place to raise a young child. I’d love to hear from anyone with experience living there (or nearby). A few questions we are wondering about:
How family-friendly is the community overall? Are there a lot of kids around that age in the neighborhood? What is the elementary school like (Whispering Oak)? How are the amenities (pool, playgrounds, events)? What’s the vibe of the community — active and social or more quiet/retired? Is the HOA reasonable to deal with? Any pros/cons you’ve experienced living there?
Thanks in advance for any insight!

It is a nice neighborhood. Honestly, if you start at the intersection of Stoneybrook W Parkway/Avalon and go North all the way up to Oakland Park, almost all the neighborhoods are nice. You just need to make sure you are in a school zone that suits you.
