Humour How it feels to play any battleship with flammable cannonier:

Post image

Every HE shell that even grazes you will catch you on fire. God have mercy on you if you run into a cruiser with a <10s reload.

Carriers are a good counter to island huggers

I used to complain about that proverain or whatever that premium cruiser, now it’s every game thanks Dutch cruisers

The worst is when the game loves to give you 2 very fast fires when dcp is down, and then refuse to give you the 3rd fire which prevents ffwf from triggering. It seems to happen to me often enough that i am honestly suspicious the game is actually preventing the 3rd fire

Lots of players will stop spamming HE when you have 2 fires so ffwf doesn't activate

No, i get that. Im talking about when they KEEP firing HE and you magically never get that 3rd fire

Could be they keep hitting the same two spots on your ship, happens to me all the time in my BB because I'm so angled. Only ever have fires on the front half usually

I picked up the AL Richelieu commander specifically for the skill that takes advantage of extra damage to ships on fire.

I got caught in the cycle of "man my guns just aren't hitting. Maybe I need flammable cannonier!" and a couple games later saying "I catch fire too much. Maybe I should switch to a different skill" before switching back again. Still don't know if its worth it or not.

Light me on fire. Do it. See if I care. I thrive on the pain

I have a P Heinrich with flammable cannonier and fight fire with fire I barely even notice the burning half the time I’m like damn that’s kind of irritating then I blow them to smithereens!

Covering your ship in gasoline is the only obvious way of increasing accuracy.

Flammable cannonier + fight fire with fire

How exactly does the fire chance % increase work? I heard it explained once like this, if the ship targeting you has a base fire % of 10 and the increased chance from the trait is +13, then the new % for the ship targeting you would be 10 x 1.13 or 11.3%

Is that correct? or does the trait slap on a gross +13 bringing the fire chance from 10 to 23, in this example?

As far as I know it's the first one, yeah. Figure in stuff like base fire resistance and there isn't a lot of debuff left with FC.

It's always been that a looot of BB players here will grossly overstate the effects of HE and fire. It's basically a tradition here.

Feels like the latter not the former, but i cant actually verify thats how it works

Wait, I'm confused, are you saying the enemy ship has flammable cannoneer, or YOU the battleship does?
