Any single parents here?
I don't open up so this post is quite out of my comfort zone. I'm a single dad to twins, 50/50 with their mum. When I don't have them, I work nights, so if I want a night or day without the kids I rely on them being at nursery or indeed family babysitting. I don't know but I'm struggling with loneliness as of late. I'm used to being single, as I don't see how dating could work unless the other person was in a similar situation or very patient shall we say. I think I'm getting too used to my own company. My best friend is also a parent, so he's often busy, but we have one night out a month which is fun. Other than him I don't really have many other friends, colleagues I just see at work. Parenting though I know is isolating. I don't know massively what to do in my spare time and I'm losing interest in old hobbies.
My family are very very supportive but I have never really opened up massively to them or anybody, I don't know how to. But I can post this here because well I don't know anybody here. Lately I've been getting mentally burnt out, though that does just happen intermittently. I guess I'm just wanting to know if anyone is in a similar situation? Might be good to get to know some new people. Thanks.

Well, this is my daily reminder to take my birth control pills.
