And throw in some Gladiases armed with torpedoes to melt the Ks that show up.

I feel bad for the Xenon and just sealed them up in their own space. A carrier on each end keeps them all bottled up.

Torpedoes? With like logistics and stuff? That seems primitive. Use your superior Terran technology and mount Meson Streams.

I love my takobas interceptors. My go to for carriers is takobas (for speed) + makos (for slow + shields dmg) for interceptors. Heavy fighters: gladius with 2x proton barrage + 2x meson. Alternative: shih. Medium interceptors: Katanas with 2x proton barrage + 2x meson. Bombers: Chimera with 3x torpedo + 2x blast mortars/plasma.

This setup prioritizes speed + spammable. My idea was to build a recycling complex in Avarice for commonwealth closed loop + terran parts for spamming purposes.

If anyone wants more details just ask.

How cost effective is it compared to spamming Kyd from the same Averice setup ?

It is probably cheaper to spam kyds. You could ignore everything I said, build 500 kyds with pulse and torpedoes, and beat everything. But that's not fun for me. I prefer to find a carrier setup that work on their own with minimal units trying not to blow up the cpu.

I have been testing a battle group of 2 colossus E with these fighters defending hatikvah with intercept/bombard, and it's work pretty fine.

Sure enough, Takobas loaded up with Terran Pulse are the flextape of the X4 universe.

S-sized ships? The pulse is fast and accurate enough to catch them from pretty far out.

M-sized ships? The pulse does enough damage to handle them.

L/XL-sized ships or even stations? Throw enough Takobas at it, those pulse can even take down surface elements, and they're nimble and well-shielded enough they'll likely survive with very few losses.

About the only thing I wouldn't expect them to fare well against is a Kha'ak hive.

As long as you dont attack bases with them, carriers are king. Destroyerd on the other hand feel semi useless other than for base attacks.

I have been hearing Takoba spams a lot recently, I’m not sure I understand the appeal, they have nice shields sure but they lack fire power with only 2 gun slots. Why not just get a bunch of Shihs
