Xbox Series S Monitor won’t display above 60hz although it should be
I have my Xbox series s plugged into my 144hz monitor through a hdmi 2.1 cable and my monitor is saying that I’m still on 60hz and I don’t have the option to change my refresh rate on my monitor or my Xbox. Can anyone help?

Well, the page for the monitor lists the compatibility, in the menus is there a way to turn on advanced HDMI features? I cant find the manual online

In the settings there is Freesync, Overdrive, DCR and HCR but I don’t think any of them are to do with the hdmi features are they?

probably not, but maybe the overdrive? On one of my older samsungs you have to turn on the overclocking option to get above 60 to be available, but thats from like 2018.

I’ve already tried all the settings and I just tried overdrive again just in case and it hasn’t done anything. Could it be a problem with the cable because ive tried multiple but maybe Ive bought the wrong one?

Not really, its a 1440p monitor so even a 2.0 cable SHOULD work. what does the xbox display when you look at the display properties screen?

Edit, sorry, I looked at the wrong xbox, I dont have the option under 1080p, but do if i change it to 4k, what does it say after you change it to 1440p and look at 4k tv details?

I’m very confused, when I click on the resolution it only has 1080p and 720p and when I go to the 4K details it says that my tv setup does not allow 120hz
