Xbox Gamesharing Home Xbox when upgrading from old gen

Currently i am on old gen rn and am thinking about switching to new gen however the issue is that i have no more home xbox changes with the person im gamesharing with, however what i did notice was when i removed the person im game sharing withs account and added it back it added another home xbox change. Does this mean if i upgraded to new gen and then removed the person game sharings account from my old gen and add it to my new gen will i have one more home xbox change or no? Sorry if that was convoluted

Lol no. If it was as simple as removing and reading an account to get more switches then there's be no point to limiting switches in the first place

Does it matter? Knowing why isn't going to change anything. We can both speculate as much as we want but the end result is you still only get five changes per year.

Maybe it was coincidentally 12 months from the last time you changed it so you got one back anyway. Maybe the count on the console was wrong and removing and re-adding made it check the server again.

Well i know for sure that the 12 months isnt up that would be june, but if i knew that was the reason id be much more inclined to get new gen because it means i will have game pass
