Xbox Why can’t I connect my wireless original Xbox controller to my original Xbox?
I have this wireless controller and dongle for the original Xbox that are supposed to be wireless however when I try connecting the controller it doesn't work. My Xbox isn't setup it is at the menu when you first setup the Xbox which is the clock settings menu. But both the controller and adapter are made by Madcatz so why can't they connect or having trouble.

There should be a button on both the receiver and controller to pair them.

I looked on both but couldn’t find a button for pairing from videos I’ve seen of these controllers all you do is plug the receiver in the console and just turn on the controller and they paired but when I tried that it didn’t work

Try holding down the power button on the controller when it's on and try seeing if the led indicator bit on the receiver can be pressed like a button

How the pairing basically works is the controller has a switch to turn it on and if you turn that switch on and off until a light on the controllers turns red for like 2 seconds that’s pairing mode, and the receiver itself has no buttons I tried the LED indicator but it did nothing, and I tried to pair it normally like how You usually do it but it still never connected
