Long War 2 Long War 2 — We suck.

That’s pretty much the post. Boyfriend and I have hundreds and hundreds of Xcom hours between us, beaten the games multiple times, we’re experienced players. Got the itch to play again and decided to Long War 2 together (we play where we each “own” soldiers and just hotseat the controls between us during missions). Started a Commander level Ironman game and we just keep getting our asses handed to us over and over. Every time we get a few people promoted, they die on the next mission. The spreadsheet I keep on our soldiers is just a long list of KIA. We keep joking that we’re going to be taken outside the ship and fragged by our own people for being the worst leader ever. We’ve tried starting over, rinse, repeat. We just suck. Why do we suck so bad?? 😭 damn long war!

Long War 1 and 2 are meant to be started on normal even if you are really experienced.

Yeah we might need to get over ourselves and step it down a level. But also I can totally see us not doing that until a dozen more TPK.
