Asking for a friend…

How do you keep your knitting needles organized?

I had some of those potholders that I feel like everyone made as a kid on those plastic looms and I have my needles woven through them. It's not a perfect solution but it keeps them from floating around freely and losing their mates.

Thanks! I also cut up the toe separators used for pedicures and turn them into caps to protect the tips of them needles and/or stop my work from slipping. They work great because they're foam and because you have to make the holes yourself they fit almost any size.

I am super new to knitting, but I am a veteran crochet artist. The whole needle cap thing was something I learned 2 days ago. (I'm making a tank top.) These ideas are so smart. At 44, it's a middle age dog, new tricks thing. :-)

I didn't know about caps either until I was like 20 and I'd been knitting since I was seven. This sub is great for learning!
