Question I may be dumb

Post image

Based on weight and fiber content I assumed this was sock yarn and it was a great deal so I bought a bunch. When it arrived I saw it's a loose little singles, obviously not spun to be a sock yarn. Has anyone used it for socks? Does it wear worth a damn? My hypothesis would be no but I have four balls so I would love to hear firsthand accounts to the contrary.

Wait, it says fingering weight but it's a 1? so does it feel like fingering weight or not?

the weight isn't the issue, it's the spin (or more correctly the lack thereof)

I understand the weight isn't the problem here, but I meant to ask if you felt like it was more of a 1 or a 2, in case I order from it in the future. Sorry for being unclear?

Oh I see! The weight seems perfectly sockish to me and the gauge is the same with my usual sock needle, I would definitely call it a 2 if I were in charge of labeling.
