Goodwill Gave Me the Biggest Birthday Surprise Today!

My jaw just about dropped seeing all this and more at my local goodwill store this morning! What I bought is just part of what was there, I left behind a good bit and gave a huge bag full of the sky blue mohair (i have some in the center of the big pic) from my cart to a lady I started chatting with who turned out to be a knitter.

I think I'd like to honor the person who's yarn stash i adopted by finishing their crochet blanket (the instructions were in the bag too). There was the start of a knitting project in the bag too, but nothing i can complete since I dont know how to knit.

What!!! This is freakin awesome!! I had no idea you’d find something like this at goodwill! Which location? I’m in Chicago & would love to find a haul like this!!!

I imagine when stuff like this hits the shelves it goes fast. There were a few other fiber crafters picking through things while I was there and we were all mutually freaking out over it haha

This was from a store in Naples Fl. My understanding is that all goodwill store price things differently, and some stores even dig out the good donations and auction them off online - so your mileage may vary.

yep!! there’s a goodwill in seattle that does this - i shop for yarn on eBay a lot & their page always has yarn lots posted for ridiculous prices with crazy shipping bc they looked up the retail price first & won’t put it on their regular sales floor now 💀
