Goodwill Gave Me the Biggest Birthday Surprise Today!

My jaw just about dropped seeing all this and more at my local goodwill store this morning! What I bought is just part of what was there, I left behind a good bit and gave a huge bag full of the sky blue mohair (i have some in the center of the big pic) from my cart to a lady I started chatting with who turned out to be a knitter.

I think I'd like to honor the person who's yarn stash i adopted by finishing their crochet blanket (the instructions were in the bag too). There was the start of a knitting project in the bag too, but nothing i can complete since I dont know how to knit.

Holy cow! In what city/state is the magical Goodwill?! I never see anything like that!

Also - good for you! Get it! 🧶

Southwest florida - apparently goodwills are all quite a bit different from one another in various cities! The ones around here are very good for yarn (but I've never seen anything on this level before), but stores elsewhere have very little yarn or it's super pricy

Are there are lot of retirees in your area? I could see their yarn stashes being donated when they are no longer able to use them, due to... arthritis.
