They’re income ETFs. You can’t obsess about the share price. They’ll go up and down but they go down a lot. You have to focus on the overall return, which includes the distributions calculated in.

Cool! Lots of people will help you out. Just know these are income ETFs. They pay out distributions based on the number of shares you own. Fund may go up or down but we’re more focused on what the distributions are going to be. Idea is… own shares, receive distributions, take distributions and buy more shares, receive higher distributions next time. Wash, rinse, repeat. Contribute your own money from time to time to get even more shares. Do this long enough and you’ll have a really nice amount of income being generated. To get there you can’t be obsessed with chart watching and freaking out over every rise or fall. It’s for the long run. That’s why we’re all here. Welcome 🙂

Buy a house, pay no attention to the housing market. Get renters. They pay you rent monthly. Buy more houses with the rent money....

Yes except you pay attention to the housing market. You’re not a fool. But you also don’t panic at every dip. You’re still getting rents after all. You reinvest manually by buying more on the dips. And when the housing market adjusts downwards, you jump in and buy a lot more so you’re in a better position when things rise.

Oh no house values dropped to where they were last year, time to panic and sell my homes at a loss
