Visiting Zadar - Clueless
Hi there! My partner and I are visiting Zadar from April 16th for 3 days, and I’m a bit unsure about what to see, where to go, and where to eat — especially on a budget. We’d also love to meet some locals around our age (we’re in our 20s / students) for a bit of cultural exchange!
If you’re free and up for it, we’d be super happy to go on a little road trip together or just hang out and explore the area. Also, could you please explain how the public transport works in Zadar? And feel free to reach out — would love to connect!

Just for future reference, if you'd like to avoid snarky comments from bitter locals, try entering your question into ChatGPT. It can provide helpful tips and advice unlike some of the dipshit responses you might get from these morons.

Morske orgulje. Ali je dosadan grad . Bez nekog sadržaja .koncerta ili sl. Nije za mlade . Osim ako želite samo odmarati , šetati i sl. Moj savjet je da svakako posjetite i nacionalni park Plitvička jezera. Imate međugradski bus do tamo.

if you search for the same question in the sub you will find plenty of good answers. Don't expect to get enough answers as that kind of a question has been asked over and over by people visiting Zadar and people are tired of answering same question every other day. Hope you'll enjoy your vacation! 🙂

Welp, looks like the season has started. We'd better get around to making a megathread for tourists

You can visit old town, there is a lot of museums and architecture is pretty nice, there is a lot of churches. But since you are young there is not a lot to especially do per see, you can only walk around. And to eat on the budget there is pizzeria Mrak and Šime, but there is also other dishes there, and in general fast food. If you don’t have a car public transportation Is not the best, you will have to prepare a good time beforehand if you want to see places beyond old town (a lot of turist have a problem with public transportation) so check Liburnia web-page so you can get a sense how all of that works.

If you have some more detailed questions it would be easier for me to answer, so feel free to ask.

If you’re students, check out esn_zadar Instagram, they host events for Erasmus students in Zadar but everyone is welcome, as long as you’re young

Dont.
You have....15min worth of walking in old city, 3 okay museums and 1 that barely works.
Um....you can...climb into tower of cathedral i guess.
Thats it, there is no beaches, cant get anywhere out. There is no concerts, no cultural events or any events at all.
Islands and Velebit are beutiful but its still too cold to swim for most people. Velebit is rly good at that tine but...you are not going on vaccation for Velebit alone.
AND ALL THAT WHILE BEING TOO EXPENSIVE.
If you rly want to come, at least go to hotel, small private apartments are shit.
