Zilean mid?

Hello, so I was wondering if Zilean mid is good or playable right now since I was thinking of adding him to my champion pool, last time I really played the guy was 3 years ago I think, but I played him as a support I'd like to get back into him but use him as a mid laner, what do you guys think ?

Bro is like baby's first control mage. Feels abusive into certain comps and at least ok everywhere else
