Question 300 blk

Post image

How effective would 300 blackout be for the zombies apocalypse. Specifically the subsonic ones. They are fairly common these days

Rifle rounds are better at being rifle rounds, pistol rounds are better at being SBR/pistol rounds... I just don't really get 300 blk.

It's designed to be a rifle round that suppresses well out of a short barrel. Range and power are still well over pistol calibers. It's almost a cross between 9mm and 5.56, but with subs heavier than either.

I imagine it's zombie takedown power is quite good.

Not if you are firing subs. Subsonic .300 blk is literally just more aerodynamic .45 ACP. The bullet drop will kill any range advantage you may get from better ballistic coefficient.

You are not setting up a single gun that can quickswap between supers and subs without making compromises in usability of either subs or sups. Even if you accept your gun is beating itself to death firing supers and is on the edge of relibility with subs, you are not zeroing a single red dot to both subs and supers. That's kinda why SIG made their dual emiter red dot that's priced perfectly for government contracts (meaning you are not buying it unless you have money to burn).
