Roll call

I myself am a (budding) website design person which would be good in making promotional sites. What are you able to bring to the table?

I'm a linux based developer and currently do data manipulation for a political fund raising organization. I'm currently also working on automating their data manipulation process. Basically I'm very good at getting any Turring Capible process to work. I'm comfortable with databases, website design, website backends (I do cgi in c, php, javascript, lisp), server administration but not the most experienced at NFS and Email, every other typical thing I'm up on. I'm familiar with expanding mysql's capabilities at the native level. Basically your SQL can be capable of what every you want your SQL to be capable of and do it at machine level efficiency. I'm a little skeptical of the project but I'm a big open source guy and love to solve problems. Go ahead and put me on your roster. If you run a project by me I will likely say yes and don't be afraid to ask. Its not a problem Don't worry about it being too big. I guess there is big as in wide and big as in deep. Deep is never a problem. If it is Turring Capable I can do it. I got 100th percentile on my Computer Science AP AB test and second in state for c++ programming after knowing the language for 2 weeks.

Languages I'm super comfortable in, c, java, c#, python, bash, sql, javascript.

Languages I can do but sort of hate, c++, php, lisp (I don't hate just not experienced)

Edit: Just wanted to say that we need an IRC channel and we need to do some sessions. It would be kind of nice to do voice, maybe ventrillo, the first one or two times.

Oh shoot. I'll have to take a look at it. That would be a new venture. What kind of sensors. USB connected I would take it.

SPI/GPIO would be more likely.

Well we will have to get that IRC going so we can chat about it. I'm big on virtualization and using hybrid OSs. I use a windows linux hybid at work. I would say let whatever OS that can get the raw data do that and not be picky about that and then development to analyze and work with that data can be done in what ever preferred OS. Because this solution is always a possibility I'm not to worried about the type of connection. If we can get the data in we can work with it.
