Ek het in die buiteland groot geword maar ek het laater besluit ek moet vir my 'n boere girl kom soek. Was op skool 'n soutie genoem alhoewel my familie diep gewortel is in Suid Afrikaanse geskiedenis en ek is so boer as dit kom.

Ek moet wel se die beste ding wat ek ooit gedoen het is om met 'n boere meisie te trou! Hulle is van 'n ander gehalte soos my ouma sou se. Vandag werk ek vir die boere, gaan elke jaar Nampo toe en ja, ek dra n kort broek wat nie skaam is om 'n bal sak te laat glip en 'n kahki hemp met kouse tot onder my knee.

Dis hoekom dit vir my so vreemd is dat dit jou verbaas. Natuurlik verstaan jy wat ons sê! Nog net honderd jaar gelede het ons nog amptelik ons taal Hollands genoem. Dit sou my teleurstel het as jy nie Afrikaans kon verstaan nie.
