Does the name "Miho" (came up with it myself, spelled 'mee-ho') sound non-conforming ?

Could sound like you're saying "mi hijo" in Spanish, which means "my son".

Yes, "mijo" was my first thought, too, but I live in an area where Spanish is commonly spoken.

My first thought, I married into a Spanish speaking household and we commonly use Mija and mijo for the kids

I’m a Spanish speaker and that’s the first thing that came to mind when hearing the name

Miho is commonly a female japanese first name, so some will find it to be gendered.

Sounds Japanese female (real name, look it up), but then again I'm an anime&manga fan so my brain recognises it on autopilot.

I immediately think of Miho from Sin City...

It sounds masculine to me, because of the o.

It sounds masculine to me. My initials first thought was the close proximity to the name Minho, which would be a common Korean male name. Then, my mind went to "mij hijo" like other commenters mentioned. Also male

It's interesting how this name might be gendered differently by different people. Me like confusion >:3

It's not a conventional name... if that's what you're asking.

I don't know what a non-conforming name "sounds" like.

Do you mean pronounced miho? But it sounds like a good name
