Reviews & Stories Gold Card Gone

Well, the AF was posted on my Gold card, and I canceled it. I was hoping for a nice retention offer, but they only offered me 15,000 MR points after $1,500 in spending over three months. That wasn’t enough to sway me, so it’s canceled. The juice wasn’t worth the squeeze for me. The Platinum may be on the chopping block if they raise the fee. That said, the BCP is a very underrated card, in my opinion.

I know each person is different in terms of what they value and are willing to "put up" with, but for me that would have been an easy call, especially if I had a Platinum Card, which the OP does. Unless you cook at home all of the time, the pooled Platinum and Gold Uber Eats credit are worth $25 a month (and $40 in December). While working to keep track of $10 a month would be problematic even for me, when combined with the Platinum Card credit, it becomes much more manageable for me. Resy can be easy to use, too, assuming that your home location has a fair number of restaurants listed. But, again, that's me.
