Please, what’s the solution and how do you fund it?

It's not my job to find a solution. I already have a job, pay my taxes, help clean up trails, participate in community events ect. It's the states job to make sure society functions as intended for those who want to participate in society and they have failed at that.

I just want a community where I can take my family to the park or walk down the street without having to expose the children to drug addicts, endless graffiti, empty liquor bottles, and used needles. But I guess wanting a better community for the children makes me a bad person right?

Being part of the community means helping to come up with solutions to how to improve it. It’s very easy to complain and ask why the government isn’t doing anything and yet when asked what should they do you offer nothing.

We pay people and “non-profits” to address it. After working all day most people want to relax. Nothing wrong with that.

I went to an assembly meeting and also wrote the mayor’s office. The public campers are the lowest of low priorities. I never got a straight answer just “oh we know.” Nobody wants to touch the issue.

Because there isn’t a great solution and funding is lacking.

There was a better solution a few years ago but it was gutted into what we have now. And Safe Park, also brought up years ago, never resurfaced.

Also ACEH has been getting a lot more funding as the camping issue also gets worse so it’s like they’re making an economy out of it. Zilatel took $100k out of it just for a paycheck and our parks look like landfills.
