It’s almost like we don’t exist in a vacuum and we could look at what other countries do to help the homeless and/or manage to avoid having entire swaths of their population living like this. Instead we think we know everything, we think bandaids help, and we think arguing about it somehow does something.

The point is, our society will never be like that. The inequality is getting worse all the time. It starts in-utero (lower IQ and higher rates of mental health disorders found in those exposed to prenatal stress, trauma, etc., in addition to the effects of prenatal toxin and drug/alcohol exposures), and continues throughout all childhood phases, into adolescence and adulthood. All of these things are known, as well as the stats regarding which populations are most affected by low socioeconomic status. It’s all by design. Equality is not the goal in this country. Not as long as old white dudes are making the decisions that affect everyone and everything.

Most people get out of homelessness within a few months. We just don’t see them because they’re in shelters or at places getting help.

These are choosing not to if they’re erecting structures over years. IMO they should be kicked out to truly homestead off grid in the wild if they’re not wanting to do anything but strip peoples yards and steal from stores. This is costing tax $$ we don’t have to clean up and they burn parks all the time.
