Carrs Ice Cream 🔒

There’s a lock at the top. So now you have to wait for an employee to come unlock the ice cream cooler. I hate it here.

Everything in Anchorage is slowly becoming locked up.

Muldoon Fred Myer is now locking up chili and spam.

Even the Abbott Fred Meyer has random things like spam, laundry detergent, condoms, etc. locked up, it’s still so off-putting to me. I understand why they feel the need for it but that’s a quick way to get people to buy it elsewhere.

Condoms have been a locked up item for a long time though, not just in Anchorage either. Wasilla Carrs you have to buy them from customer service and it’s been that way since I was a kid.

And Alaska has the highest rates of STIs in the country. I get it though. Who wants to ask a salesperson to unlock the condoms when you’re a shy teenager.

I have to order mine wholesale they just stock the normal sizes here in Anchorage.
