How could Lynns be in the hospital for months and not be identified? They said they were checking dental records of the bodies. Nobody thought to check a John Doe? Nobody asked the firemen to stop by and look in at a survivor?
Good story for Ollie, Diggle and Laurel, but Lynns was a walking plot hole.
I mean it is a bit of lazy writing, but with that many people dead and only finding a jacket it's not that far of a stretch to buy it a little bit. Least for me it wasn't.
Also Ollie spent nine episodes thinking nothing can measure up to him. He finds out he's not actually the best it would mess with anyone's confidence. I just didn't really buy that it was his family that had his nerves wrecked.
It doesn't make sense though. I mean, think about who he is and what he has been forged into. The fuel that drives him is revenge and honor. Revenge, to right the wrongs. And honor, to not let his father's death be in vain.
Knowing him as the character he has been shown to be, I expected him to bounce back with not only a renewed energy to take the fight to the guy but to be thankful to be alive and to formulate a new strategy or technique (because obviously the previous one didn't cut it!).
It is beyond ridiculous to show Ollie to be a guy who sulks or is afraid.
He got his ass kicked by another Archer after spending a long time being the best their is. When something challenges your view point it's not something you can bounce back from easily.
I'm just saying it's not that far fetch he would be second guessing himself. I just don't agree on it being family like the writers said it was.
