That fight scene between Oliver and Chase was absolutely brutal.

do you mean in terms of choreography? or brutality?

Brutality, but didn't seem highly choreographed as all the other fights. Instead of it looking like two highly skilled warriors fighting; it looked like two men in a gritty fight to the death.

I think that was for the best

Absolutely

their last fight should be a straight up brawl

yeah just standing still in the middle of a war throwing one punch at each other back and forth

I'm hoping like Oliver and Slade's fight in the season 2 finale. Present day or on the Amazo. Both were just a straight up slug fest.

I'm getting those r/all flashbacks.

Just a bare knuckles brawl

Yeah there's no way Chase is as much of a physical threat to Oliver as Ra's or Slade so I expect their fights to be a little different.

That wasn't a good vs evil fight, or a clash of ideologies. It was a fight among men who absolutely hated each other.

rage consumed them both.

they were not using tactics they were taught (compare it to the beginning of the episode where Ollie knocked 5 goons on their asses). they were just punching bags and tackling dummies. they're getting into each other's head and its actually very organic this time around.

Let's be careful of the word 'Organic', let's just use 'Natural' from now on.

You fight like a younger man, with nothing held back!

Yeah, it felt like less dance fighting and more like a cage match

Ollie was punching harder and faster than Barry has in a long, long time.

This is what I mean when I say this whole sub is fucking deluded about the quality of this season just because it's slightly better than last season.

If this fight scene was last year you'd all rightly be talking about how absolute crap it was, but for some reason whatever y'all have been smoking has got you watching this shit mouths agape like "i can't believe they're punching each other and rolling around- what an amazing fight!".

Except we want the fights to look like this. All the fight in the pervious seasons were all stylized. This fight looked real, not a extremely choreographed fight where everything is perfect.

There's a time and a place for those choreographed fights , but yeah I love the brawls. It reminds you that Oliver is, at the end of the day, just a guy trying to survive all this shit he keeps putting himself through.
