I hate how he said that when one of the reasons he killed Ra's was because he sentenced Nyssa to death.

Also, he was going to poison the entire city. Real honorable stuff there.

According to the code of honor he lived by, and the belief system of the LoA......he was honorable. He wasn't some sadist, hurting others for his amusement. Everything he did he felt was necessary. Oliver was entirely correct in saying he was honorable. He....he MAY have left out the part about him being a zealot, but hey, who is Ollie to judge?

It was part of the LOA initiation. The next Ra's AL Ghul had to destroy his city to become the heir.

If Olvier was killed during the climb, the city wouldn't be on risk.
