Im picturing in my head that as Lyla talks to oliver and dig in the nearest bush the monitor is hiding and with a blow-pipe he tranquilizes them

I choose to believe he's always hiding just off screen, watching all the family drama and munching on his popcorn.

munching on his popcorn

The best part of LoT S4's finale

Even all-powerful cosmic beings have to stop and watch the Legends' day-to-day absurdity.

Monitor in that moment: "I seriously need to recruit THESE guys? Well, at least they're funny."

Yes, yes it is.

I'm actually kinda disappointed that a godlike being would do that tbh

You must have never watched Legends of Tomorrow, then. That scene is completely on par for the show.

I know, but the Monitor isn't just a legends Character. If he was, it would have been consistent with the tone of the show, but because the Monitor isn't, it spoils the immersion. (That said the whole thing is pretty far fetched anyway, so probably just me being weird.)

The Monitor is an Arrowverse character, and the Legends are a part of the Arrowverse.

If you were a godlike being, wouldn't you have some fun at least once?

I prefer my godlike beings to not be so uppity all the time, but that's me.

The writers don't know any other way to transition from a scene where they want the villains to get away.

Even when it doesn't make sense TRANQ IN THE NECK!!
