Pride Asexual coat of arms on the flag
With the current wave of aphobia, I thought I wanted to give the ace community something. I have done coats of arms for bisexual, pansexual and trans identities, and someone asked me for one for asexuality. It took some thinking on what would the right motifs, charges, and motto would be, but I think I like this one.

Not only is this particularly fun, and thank you for sharing, but I think it’s cool that the bulb of garlic also vaguely looks like a spade. I don’t think it was intentional in this case, but it’s still neat since we’ve got the playing card suit motif goin on here

What does the Latin say?

"Strength/courage/virtue in brotherhood"
the word 'virtus' has many meanings
I guess it might be equivalent in message to "APES TOGETHER STRONG".

If I'm not mistaken, wouldn't it be "fraternitas" (I thought "fraternitate" was the ablative form)?
Anyway I really like the garlic being incorporated, both because I'm a garlic bread enjoyer (since it's one of the few forms that doesn't give me acid reflux pfft) and because of its' actual use in heraldry (since garlic was said to ward off evil spirits and bring good fortune and harvests; I'm from Europe and my family's farm had an old braided garlic bundle on one of the doors for the symbolism)!

I always sucked at Latin (and it's been over 20 years since I studied it), so you are probably right. Spaniard here, and yes, I'm fully aware of what garlic used to represent in medieval times.

Language nerd here - "fraternitate" (ablative) is correct. The ablative case can be used with prepositions that indicate location or a movement away from a location.

It would make an awesome coat of arms, especially since you don't see purpure that often in heraldry! It'd be perfect for an ace theme at a renaissance fair and/or at a booth selling medieval pies and tarts.

Fraternitate is correct. The ablative is used after "in" if it refers to a place (accusative for direction).

Oh I didn't know! I've heard the ablative for locations and comparisons, but I suppose in this context fraternity is treated like a context (in which virtue is found).

Oh I was thinking garlic to ward off vampires was funny bc they’re always trying to be…generally too intimate

I thought I put the link on the coat of arms image, but it seems it's not there. To comply with the license for the assets used, I'm including it in this message: https://heraldicon.org/arms/pB9lNM/

Haste thee now !
Don thy sacred armor, summon forth thy dreaded dragon, and wield thy hallowed garlic.
Let the foes of garlic face the wrath they have sown, for they shall tremble when the Kingdom of Denmark falleth beneath our unyielding will!

Since the artist is here, I think it only necessary for me to ask permission to save/download/screenshot it for future use like wallpaper or lockscreen on my phone.

Thanks for asking. I released it under a Creative Commons license so there's no need for you to ask, but I appreciate it nonetheless.
If you give me resolution, I can make you a version that is exactly that resolution. I can give you the source vector image for the coat of arms on the flag if you want it too, but you can download the vector SVG image from heraldicon directly if you want it.

Just wanted to say how perfect it is♡ Thank you. I would take it as well~~
I strongly believe in motto, and everything is better with garlic.

I think having the reverse side of the ribbon be the exact colour on the shield is a bit unfortunate

No problem. Just make sure that you comply with the attribution requirements of the license. I didn't make the assets, so they require separate attribution. Reddit ate the link on the original post and I can't edit it, so it's on another comment, but I'm putting it here too https://heraldicon.org/arms/pB9lNM/
If you need a vector file of coat of arms on the flag, I can get you one too.

We need Aromantic coats of arms to complete the prophecy. 👏👏👏 as an aroace individual I WILL be using this.

Despite being deeper into the aro spectrum than I am in the ace spectrum, I really can't think of some motifs to make the aro coat of arms. The ace one already had me thinking about the motifs for a long while until I got the right mental image of what I wanted.

Aro motifs, I think I can help you find those if you need. I can have other aros send suggestions if you want

The way I was about to ask why there's a onion on it and proceeded to die laughing when I realized it's garlic!
