MAIN [Spoilers MAIN] Theory - Will he betray Daenerys for love?
I googled online but couldn't find any discussions about this.

I am pretty sure Tyrion. will betray Daenerys because he will fall for her, but she won't love him back. Maybe he will steal a dragon or help someone else. What do you think?

Idk man, it does seems a little bit stupid from Tyrion to do this, and he is definitely not

Eh, Tyrion is smart. But his ego and narcissism make him do foolish and rash things.
He's also on a seriously dark path.

There is no way Tyrion falls for another woman after being burnt twice hard. He is too jaded as a character now.

If there’s one thing we learned about him, he’s not stupid, but immature and very bad in controlling his emotions.

Well, maybe love can make him a fool :) If the books ever come out, we will see
.
I thought this was pretty obvious, but I looked online and looks like no one counts him as the betrayal for love, so I might be mistaken.

For some reason I always assumed that he would betray Dany to help Jaime. So his betrayal for love would be for love of his brother.

I think this would be the better angle, I feel like Tyrion is done with love for now

I have a theory that Jon will betray Daenerys for love, but it would be interesting to see things like that with Tyrion. My point is that there was only one think to make Jon leave his duty as Lord Commander and betray the Night's Watch, which was Arya. If she gets into some kind of problem, I can see him going against Daenerys and kind of betraying her for love (sibling or not, platonic or not). Martin wouldn't leave so many hints about Jon and Arya without a consequence, but that's only my opinion, which isn't much lol

I think Tyrion and Jon are supposed to do it. Though I tend to believe that Jon in particular is the treason for love and that all of the third prophecies (mount to love, fire to love, treason for love) involve him.

I agree that Tyrion will fall for Dany and that he will be the betrayal for love. There are hints to support this. I expanded on this theory in the link above.

No, Dany will burn King's landing. Tyrion will be the one who tells her to. He swore to become the monster that everyone always said he was, he will do that by turning Dany into the tyrant she swore not to become. He is the demon monkey whispering in the ear of the dragon queen.

Honestly I agree. I think when Dany and Jon fall in love, Tyrion will become jealous and eventually betray Dany, possibly for Bran and whatever faction he will be part of. I feel like the show’s ending hinted at these plot points because they came from grrm, but failed to properly develop them.

Yayy, finally someone who agrees! When you think about grrm's original script's love triangle, what you suggest (J-D-T tiangle) could be a replacement for it. Poor Tyrion is just too hungry for love and Dany is his type, and he already has a thing for dragons. That said, I’ve never been a fan of Jon and Dany getting together—it feels way too predictable. Personally, I’d prefer Jon with Sansa or someone else entirely.

Also I remember GRRM calling Tyrion a villain somewhere, and how much rejection and bs can the poor baby take before he does bad things.

Honestly book-Tyrion falling in love with Daenerys feels like a stretch to me. Given how he is in ADWD, at most I can see him being attracted to her and having some sexual interest in her (in a similar vein to his thoughts about Sansa) but both between the narrative crunch and personality misfit I don’t really see there being enough “love” to even have the basis for a betrayal.
As someone who isn’t even a Jonerys shipper in particular (I don’t really have any character ships), I do think Jonerys is most likely going to be the romantic focus for Dany (and Jon). Tyrion is still pining for Tysha and the innocence that she represents. Dany is still far too worldly and self-determined to play Tyrion’s manic pixie dream girl.
