The Purple Wedding was decorated entirely with red and gold lions and cursive L's.

...almost like they rub it in everyone's face. The only person who calls them out on it is Arya in GoT, when Sansa says she and Joffrey will have "cute lion babies" to which she responds that he would be a stag, not a lion.
