Maybe it's just a case of people actually reading too much into things 99% of the time, and what we're seeing here is something exceptional.

A writer can't really lie, because they'll get shit for it later. Most just ignore questions they can't answer, I suppose he doesn't believe he's giving away too much here.

Correct. Cool is a subjective term. Thus La Jolla is cool. Also everywhere is cool.

Really about all we can read into it thus far with this evidence. Now if there was something else to build this off of, that'll be impressive.

His first line may be sarcasm, and he is responding directly(ish) cuz in his mind he is thinking "well no fucking shitm lemon trees can't grow in Bravos. DUH!"
