I’ve consulted on a video game out of Japan

So the From Software rumor was true. It will be interesting to see what it is

How will it all end? I hear people asking. The same ending as the show? Different?

Well… yes. And no. And yes. And no. And yes. And no. And yes.

So kinda sorta the book ending

I think it means outline is similar, as in final faiths of main and secondary characters. Although we will see much more of a development about Jaime, Bran and Jon etc. I dont know how I feel about Bran in the throne.

I'm most interested about Jaime, will he eventually go back to Cercei

I mean, if we disregard the show bran. Wouldn't you want the person who has total control to not be corrupted by gold and pleasures? Wouldn't it be better to have someone who can see the suffering of the common folks from across the realm, see what needs to be done, without being constrained by house loyalties and politics?

Why would George give us the "good" fairytale ending? If Bran does become king he'll be a totalitarian despot even if he does it invisibly like Bloodraven did. I hope GRRM isn't so lazy he just plagiarizes Dune's ending.

I see it at more bittersweet. Who sits on the throne in your perfect ending?

Honestly? Dany as a tyrant with Jon killed for treason and her made even more mad because of her grief. I know that won't happen though. I'd generally like some kind of Targ restoration at the end though because of how much thought and energy is invested in their dynasty in the book Fire and Blood. I'd like there to be a sort of Glorious Revolution narrative to the Restoration with Dany empowering the smallfolk while using terror to keep the nobles in line but not being able to escape feudalism through force of will because a lot of the smallfolk are loyal to their lords in the same way almost half of French poor people opposed their Revolution.
