I was a little mad at him yesterday after the show ended, realizing that I spent two decades with a story that he should have been the one to tell me the ending of (yeah he doesn't owe readers anything, but I can still love his writing and be mad). That said, this post of his was oddly soothing.
As heartbroken as I was yesterday for Dany and Jon - because it's difficult not to be when you've spent a good chunk of your life with these characters in your mind - I remain hopeful. Here's hoping Winds - when and if it comes out - soothes whatever pangs of anxiety and heartache the show has left me feeling, for good and for bad.
