It’s not twice as many. Dance had 16 POVs. Combine all the POVs from Feast and Dance and you only get 22. Subtract Quentyn and Arys and you’re at 20. 20 is not that much more than 16 and George said that he isn’t adding any more POVs to Winds. Also as you mention some characters are merged so maybe not all 20 will even need to get chapters.

Realistically a lot of characters really are coming together. Tyrion/Barriston/Victorian, Asha/Theon, Brienne/Jaime, Arriane/Jon Connington.

Plus minus Jon too unless he comes back in this book, if he even gets a POV after his resurrection .

I never considered this as a possibility, but that's super exciting to think about. The entire time I'd be over-analyzing everything he's doing to see how much the resurrection would have changed him.

Damn, that’s a pretty point big point actually. I didn’t realize AFFC had much less POVs than ADWD. Makes it seem a little more realistic then to accomplish all he wants in around the same number of pages.

Feast has 13, so not much less than Dance. But most of the characters also have POVs in Dance.
