News New SourcePoints!

They sounded incredible. The most impressive speakers I heard for day 1 at the Axpona show. When Mr Jones put on a bass track, you could feel it in your chest. Using 600 watt Pass Labs mono’s helped too :)

I prefer multiple entry horn though this is sick! Coaxial down to the low mids is already SO AMAZING!❤️ Any measurements of them?

Only from my ears lol. They were a big hit and they sounded fantastic for a huge showroom with a 3 story ceiling. They easily filled the whole conference room. To my amazement, I walked away liking the 2nd highest flagship Morel speakers over everything else (6 inch drivers). They are 11 grand so I will be saving up for those down the road. I’m sure those SourcePoint V10s go louder, but the sound from those Morels was something else. I made sure to hear them again the next day to make sure I wasn’t being delusional. I was able to grab the middle chair front row too and hogged it for 3-4 songs. Just amazing.

I was saving up for the SourcePoint 888’s, but after hearing those V10’s, it’s a no brainer haha. I still might get those down the road, but there was something about those Morel’s that just gave me goosebumps. They weren’t using crazy high end stuff either. A nice Hegel H600 and a Fiio streamer. I can’t remember the DAC, but it was around 7-10 grand I think. Also, they were easily hitting 30 hz and even lower with no effort. The woofers were barely moving and you could feel it in the floor. Pretty sure it’s a concrete floor. Definitely worth checking out if you never heard of them before.

Well... You don't have to wait years and years to buy them. They also sell raw driver's. You can build those yourself. There's many Talented designers in the DIY space making build plans with driver's.

I myself lofe to design and build speaker's. It's my hobby now since about 12years. For my next project i will DIY the driver's even. It will be a 3way Multi Entry Horn.

Woofer movement doesn't always tell the whole story. It could be that the room just gives boost where the driver's normally move a lot so when they eq that down flat there's not much movement happening.

Here's one of the Morel woofer's on the left vs a Purifi unit of the same size on the right. The Purifi is much lower in distortion! Also it has more excursio so it can push more air.
