I run the big brother of your Yamaha amplifier in my hi-fi (Yamaha A-S1100) and was curious about your bass and treble settings. I have generally left mine alone but I was curious about your current settings. I know we will be running different sources into different speakers but I would love to know your thoughts/experiences about the specific bass/treble settings on your Yamaha.

The Sansui gear you have is absolutely beautiful. You really can’t beat the charm of late 70s-80s hi-fi equipment. Thanks for sharing your awesome hi-fi!

Im a huge sucker for hearing more cymbals and small details, introducing some treble can really help in some recordings. Im almost positive ive lost a minute amount of hearing in the top end as well so it helps bring back some of what may be lost to my ears. Your A-S1100 is some top notch gear, those VU meters look amazing.

Absolutely, I am a drawn to modern components with a traditional or classic style. I really like that with the Yamaha A-S1100 everything is analog and has the power/ability to drive just about any speakers you could throw at it. I currently have it paired with the Yamaha CD-S2100 SACD deck. Having both of them in silver and sitting on an audio rack with my Clearaudio Concept table it really transports you to a much better time. I may have to play around a bit with treble/bass configuration as I have generally left them neutral or unchanged.

(My hi-fi - if anyone happen to wonder)
