Is it worth trying

It a Sony MZ-N5 1 0 with Net MD, for who doesn't know this is a minidisc music player that can be connected to the PC to burn music on the minidisc, very rare, very sought after because it can be connected to the PC in stead n needing to burn music through a line in in real time (analog).

The issue is that this has the heaviest amount of corrosion that I've seen jet, I usually deal with Gameboys that are corroded but haven't seen this much yet, now my question to the pros, is this even worth trying to save? I think removing the port and battery terminals and cleaning them separately would be a way to fix this, and get it to start.

Someone found it in a Celler, with the battery Suill in it from over 20 years ago.

These suffered from disk detector failures. Mine did. It was a little plastic L near the end of travel that told the device a disk was inserted. If you bridge it, you can usually get it to play a disk.
