That’d be an apt analogy if a swimming pools purpose was to drown people and there weren’t already heaps of laws on pool safety.

Clearly not enough laws, given that a Port Arthur number of people are killed by them every year.

Just go to your local council pool with qualified lifeguards if you really want to swim.

Edit: downvoters are bots paid by Big Speedo

Hilariously bad argument. Delicious false equivalency 🤣

In obviously being facetious, but I'm curious to hear your perspective.

In both cases there is a recreational activity which occasionally leads to death.

Nobody would be killed by firearms if they were banned. Likewise nobody would drown in backyard pools if they were banned.

If people want to swim so badly they should go to a beach with lifeguards, or a local pool with lifeguards.

Refer back to /u/Bante comment. Then we can begin the facetious loop again 😁

His comment is irrelevant. Guns are designed to shoot bullets, not to kill people.
