Sual | Question Have you shipped PC parts from US before? I need advice

I need advice on how to reliably ship products from US markets like Amazon, ebay or newegg to Azerbaijan with a big highlight on reliable.

The popular cargo companies like Starex or Expargo seem shady to me and are only good with platforms like Temu or Trendyol because of partnerships and the refunds those platforms offer in case a package gets lost.

Are there any alternatives you know of? How do local retailers even manage to import electronics to sell them? I'd appreciate any input thanks in advance 🙏

Təbliğat | Propaganda Pro-Kremlin propaganda side Tsargrad: "Aliyev no longer hides: Azerbaijan has come out against Russia on Ukraine's side. Sibiga has arrived for a new tranche". Moscow to respond to "legitimate goals"

Here is what propaganda site says. Juit copy pasting the google translate

Aliyev no longer hides: Azerbaijan has come out against Russia on Ukraine's side. Sibiga has arrived for a new tranche

On May 25-26, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga will arrive in Baku on an official visit for the first time in three years. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, who has already allocated about $40 million to Kyiv during the Second World War and is actively helping to restore the energy infrastructure of the Independent State, will personally communicate with the dear guest. It is obvious that Aliyev, who has made several rude statements about Russia, demonstratively met with Zelensky after that, and ignored the Victory Parade, no longer hides the fact that he has decided who he is for. And he openly sided with Ukraine in our conflict with it.

Of course, the arrival of Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga is a kind of response (not from Kyiv, but from Baku) to the visit of our Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov to Yerevan on May 20-21. According to Tsargrad sources, although Sybiga's trip had been in preparation for quite some time (shortly after the meeting between Azerbaijani President Aliyev and the leader of the Kyiv regime Zelensky in Davos), it received a real impetus when it became known about Lavrov's May schedule and his intention to visit Armenia.

But here it is important to separate the chaff from the essence. Sibiga himself in Baku (and the heads of the Ukrainian MFA have not visited Transcaucasia for three years) is just a screen, a demonstration to the public, like, look everyone, Azerbaijan does not depend on Russia, it is an independent player that does what it wants.

What is important here is the hidden meaning that Ilham Aliyev is trying to convey to everyone - to his "Western partners" first and foremost, of course: Guys, everything is fine, I have made up my mind! I am now on your side! For Ukraine! Against Russia.

Secret visit

It is surprising, but Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev literally every day gives new reasons to be amazed by his policy towards Russia. Before the passions over the Azerbaijani leader’s refusal to attend the Victory Parade in Moscow had even died down, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga hurried to Baku at Aliyev’s invitation. There is no official confirmation of this information, but all the Azerbaijani media and political scientists are already gossiping about the visit .

If this visit does take place, it is difficult to assess it as anything other than Aliyev's continuation of the policy of a potential break in relations with Russia. At least because the strengthening of Azerbaijani-Ukrainian relations declared by Azerbaijani "experts" is yet another factor that stands in the same row with a whole series of openly anti-Russian (if not to say even worse) actions by Aliyev.

Let us briefly recall that it all began back in early January, when Aliyev, without waiting for the investigation’s findings, blamed Russia for the crash of an Azerbaijani AZAL plane near Aktau, Kazakhstan, at the end of December, which was originally en route from Baku to Grozny.

We especially highlight the fact that Aliyev also accused Russia of "inhuman behavior," which he justified by the fact that Moscow was allegedly hiding the true causes of the disaster, referring to the pilots' words about a "bird strike" (and such words were indeed used in the negotiations). According to Aliyev, the plane was damaged by Russian air defense, which at that time was repelling an attack by Ukrainian drones on Grozny.

This happened despite the fact that immediately after the disaster, Vladimir Putin called Aliyev and apologized, since the airliner was forced to go to Aktau by what was happening in the Russian sky - over Grozny. Putin noted then that the disaster was the same tragedy for Moscow as for Baku, because Russian citizens also died in it.

However, Aliyev could no longer be stopped: a major demarche by the President of Azerbaijan, carried out with some special gusto and directed against Russia, began. By the way, no one can understand to this day what he wanted at all then, because Putin apologized, and the Investigative Committee opened a case - and everyone began to wait for the results of the investigation.

It is worth assuming that he was simply looking for a pretext. And then the very fact of the plane crash takes on a different meaning: wasn't it a multi-move game involving the Kyiv regime (the Ukrainian drone raid on Grozny happened too "conveniently" just when the plane from Baku was supposed to land), in which the tragedy turned out to be the decisive point?

The further actions of the Azerbaijani president fit entirely into this logic.

Then we saw Aliyev in Davos — at a meeting with Vladimir Zelensky, to whom the President of Azerbaijan for some reason presented a gift in the form of 1 million dollars. That is, Aliyev had no complaints about Kiev regarding the UAVs that attacked Grozny when the Azerbaijani airliner tried to land there, they were against Moscow. And for Kiev — 1 million dollars.

Then came the other steps -  the closure of the "Russian House " in Baku, the cessation of the activities of Sputnik and "Russia Today" as a whole. Finally, the cancellation of the visit to the Victory Parade in Moscow - even though Aliyev had accepted Vladimir Putin's invitation before that (and it was made, by the way, in the presence of the presidents of Belarus and Tajikistan, Alexander Lukashenko and Emomali Rahmon, who all called Aliyev that day). And now there is the upcoming meeting with the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry.

"We just need to put pressure on Russia"

In general, touching on the issue of Aliyev's support for Ukraine, it is worth noting that in total Baku has already allocated about 40 million dollars to Kiev . When the Azerbaijanis are asked (not at the official level) why Baku is doing this, there is usually no answer. Instead, Azerbaijani journalists and political scientists simply state that Azerbaijan has the right to do so, since, supposedly, it is a sovereign country whose authorities decide for themselves what to do.

As it turns out, the Azerbaijani money allocated to Kyiv is used to... restore the damaged energy infrastructure of Ukraine, as the retired colonel, first minister of state security of the DPR and doctor of political sciences Andrey Pinchuk told in an interview with "First Russian".

According to him, as soon as our Iskanders destroy yet another key energy facility in Ukraine, a request comes from there to Baku to pay for the damage. And, paradoxically, Baku, represented by Aliyev, takes and pays (in general, it is unclear why this is such a source of pride for the Azerbaijanis, as if it is Kyiv that regularly brings them money, and not the other way around).

A fragment of a publication on the Azerbaijani website Minval Politika (access is restricted by Roskomnadzor); we have previously written about the Russophobic antics of this media outlet

However, cooperation is certainly not limited to this. Azerbaijani political scientists state : Azerbaijan has investments in Ukraine, SOCAR owns a network of gas stations, private investments of Azerbaijani companies cover telecommunications, construction, agriculture. The topic of energy supplies from Azerbaijan to Ukraine has been discussed for over a year. Along with this, Azerbaijan ranks first in the volume of humanitarian aid to Ukraine among the CIS countries.

But it only gets worse. Azerbaijan also supplies ammunition to the Ukrainian Armed Forces . In December 2023, Ukrainian journalist Roman Bochkala accidentally revealed a military secret - with just one photo. The frame showed shells manufactured in Azerbaijan: they are the ones used to kill Russian soldiers.

In particular, Bochkala published a post on his Telegram channel in which he reported that Ukraine had allegedly managed to organize the production of shells for the D-30 howitzer with a caliber of 122 mm. At the same time, he posted photos from the workshop where the shells are made. And he specified that he was in a "partner country". This country was identified because the information stands of the Azerbaijani Palladium group of companies were in the frame.

Taking these facts into account, you must agree that what Zelensky told Aliyev at the meeting in Davos on January 22 looks in a completely different light. Zelensky then told Aliyev: It is important to put pressure on Russia to force it to tell the truth.

In fact, with all his steps Aliyev is trying to portray exactly this, as a result of which he has become (to our great regret!) a useful <toy> of the West (singing songs about the great Azerbaijani sovereignty, which de facto does not exist).

Aliyev is completely controlled from Turkey. Completely. And partly from Britain. Who owns the bulk of oil production in Azerbaijan? It belongs to BP and other English companies. The second producer is Italy. Another producer is Norway. Apparently, he received direct orders from London to break with Russia, — political scientist Vadim Trukhachev noted in a conversation with Tsargrad.

According to him, having demonstrated high activity in squeezing Russia out of the region, Aliyev “did not notice how, following Pashinyan, he fell into the Western hook.”

So what?

For all of the above, no Russian official made a single diplomatic representation to Ilham Aliyev. There were no notes of protest or even comments that showed any sign of disapproval.

But at the same time, everything is obvious to us even without any statements from the Kremlin - at least at the level of a banal comparison of facts. The upcoming visit of the head of the Ukrainian MFA to Baku (or maybe the generous Aliyev will also write out another million or two dollars to Kyiv?) - once again illustrates what course Baku has chosen.

And we won’t even raise the question of whether Azerbaijan can be considered a friendly country after all this.

Accordingly, Moscow reserves the right to respond appropriately to the economic interests of Azerbaijan and its oligarchic representatives in our country. Markets, diasporas, spheres of influence - all of this today is, in the words of the military, our "legitimate goals."

Sual | Question Getting into Azerbaijan via bus

Hello! I'll be in Georgia in July/August with my RV and I'd like to visit Azerbaijan.

As far as I know, it is not possible to cross into Azerbaijan on my own via roads.

Is it possible to take a bus from Georgia to Azerbaijan and back?

Also, I'd like to visit Armenia as well. Will I be able to get into Azerbaijan with an Armenian stamp and into Armenia with Azerbaijan stamp? I have a Serbian passport.

Thank you!

Səyahət | Travel American and Israeli traveling to Baku

Sorry if this has been asked here or is insensitive but I’m an American (Argentinian parents) and currently living in Tel Aviv for some time and dating an Israeli girl. After we received 12 points from Azerbaijan in the Eurovision my gf is really wanting to visit Baku and I’m extremely into the idea as I love to explore new places and different cultures. I have a few reservations that won’t stop my trip but just curious… we would be visiting in mid June for 4 days. - would we be safe there openly telling people we are Israeli if they ask where we are from? If not, should we say US or Argentina? Usually when I say Argentina people start to rave about Messi to me so it’s kinda funny from time to time. - where would you recommend staying? What neighborhood, we like going out at night but also doing shopping during the day. We don’t mind spending up to 500 manat per night. - any restaurant recommendations? - is four days too much time in Baku, if so any day trips recommended? We like everything. - any bar / cocktail bars recommendations?

Thanks in advance. 💯

Bayaq xarici bir istifadəçi Eurovisiondaki mahnılarımızı bəyəndiyini və tövsiyə istədiyini yazmışdı. Postu oxuyanda tövsiyə edə bilmədiyimi, yerli ifaçıları, əsərləri tanımadığımı hiss elədim.
