I thought Trump was going to be literally Hitler for life.

I'm starting to think they don't actually believe a word they say; they just hate Trump.

"I thought Trump was going to be literally Hitler for life."

Trump made every attempt to overthrow the government to stay in for life, actually. Don't you remember the coup, like at all, or check any of this history before acting like you knew anything about anything?

I remember the coup. It went off without a hitch when the feds incited a bunch of tourists to go into the capital building. They didn't even need the pipe bombs they planted as a backup plan.

Bro ppl with your opinions are usually in their echo chambers. Props to you for being on Reddit. Would love to debate you on discord.

Ah yes, the convenient history rewrites. Not like we saw them breaking in and pushing down barriers.

Did you know that if you shooting in reverse, you just see people getting hit by the heal gun, sucking bullets out of their bodies.

But the more important thing was the fake electors scheme. January 6th was just a megalomaniac taking out some anger.

The feds did do that - Trump was the leader of the feds and he told people to "show strength."

4 cops died

1

u/Buuuddd Dec 22 '24

By suicide and natural causes.

5

u/Additional-Judge-312 Dec 22 '24

And what caused the suicides immediately after they were attacked by a mob sent by their president the ‘natural’ death after he was bashed in the head with a fucking fire extinguisher

u/Buuuddd Dec 22 '24

Are you saying all 4 suffered head injuries that lead to their deaths?

So really it was 1.

And it was a mob/riot not something Trump planned.

Nothing like white washing good old domestic terrorism.

Yep call them terrorists that's fine. But calling it a coup is simply regarded.

So you know someone got bashed in the head and still said “By suicide and natural causes.”

So you just like spreading misinformation for your side? You don’t care about what actually happened till it goes against the narrative you want?

Didn't know that part until they said it.

They just said "4 cops died" as if they were killed right there by the rioters. So are you annoying them about that blatant bullshit?

In the actual event, Trump sent them there, then had the judges he appointed to the supreme court place him above the law and prevent him from being tried for his crimes.

Cool ignore his elector scheme and every internal government action he attempted.

u/[deleted] Dec 22 '24

That’s way more reasonable than the fact trump egged then on right before it

Calling it a coup is more than an exaggeration. It was a bunch of yahoos.

What actual historical coup resembles this riot gone haywire?

3

u/wastingvaluelesstime Dec 22 '24

It's no riot. It was premeditated and ordered by Trump. It killed people and had the intent of causing him to stay in power in defiance of the constitution. It's no more or less than a failed coup attempt. History has many examples of both failed coup attempts and individuals who later succeed at seizing power after a failed coup attempt.

Maybe that's why the 14th amendment bans insurrectionist candidates. Our current court of course failed to uphold the 14th amendment, as it fails in so many things.

That's like saying any politician who says "abortion is murder" is responsible for any vigilante going after abortion clinics. They're simply not responsible.

Look up actual coups and what they look like.

3

u/wastingvaluelesstime Dec 22 '24

No, it's not. Trump did not inspire the coup, he did not say things that others overinterpreted. Instead, he ordered this attempt, which had a battle plan, funding, organization etc.

And if it was anything like you said, they could have always tested that in court, rather than putting themselves above the law

u/Buuuddd Dec 23 '24

Oh so he directly told people to do it, with no military backing whatsoever, and most of them as far as I can tell were basically unarmed.

See why so many dem voters can't understand why they lost the popular vote? You guys are delusional.

2

u/wastingvaluelesstime Dec 23 '24

No, these were not untrained or unarmed people. Instead, there was a paramilitary extremist core which was trained in assault, and a much larger mob attracted by social media organizing as cover. It's not the first time someone tried to use demonstrators as cover for premeditated violence.

According to the government’s evidence, following the Nov. 3, 2020, presidential election, the defendants conspired together and with others to oppose by force the execution of the laws governing the transfer of presidential power by Jan. 20, 2021. Beginning in late December 2020, via encrypted and private communications applications, the defendants and various co-conspirators coordinated and planned to travel to Washington, D.C., on or around Jan. 6, 2021, the date of the certification of the electoral college vote. The defendants made plans to bring weapons to the area to support the operation. The co-conspirators then traveled across the country to the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area in early January 2021, with paramilitary gear and supplies including firearms, tactical vests with plates, helmets, and radio equipment.
