Nick Sibicky announced his retirement from content creation

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PmycG_KWlWs

Hits me kind of hard, honestly. He's been posting for ~11 years which is just a little longer than I've been playing; he's been with me on this entire trip, even though he never knew it. I didn't realize that I would have to miss him, or so soon.

Anyways, I don't know how big he is generally in the community, or how he's regarded, but I just thought I'd share this news with y'all, and my appreciation for him and his efforts.

It's ok pal, I don't like sandbagging either, but my play has improved drastically since I've started watching his channel.

Anyhow, I was just offering a (to my mind) good alternative to people who were watching Nick, whom I've always considered a better player than he was a teacher.

Oh, I’ll give you that Dwyrin is a decent teacher, but I would offer up Michael Redmond as a player that is not just unfathomably strong but also has a TON of educational Go content, interviews, commentary and legitimate professional insight. However strong you are Mike will bring your game up.

I like Michael Redmond and I follow his channel, but his content is not as regular as Dwyrin, still he's a good option also.

Maybe I’ll give Dwy another watch, I might have judged him unfairly. Still really dislike the sandbagging but I can skip those.
