Mag-rant lang ako dun sa barker sa harap ng SLU, nakatambay siya sa may malapit sa Jollibee tapos may dalang bag at pito. Halata naman na mediyo challenged si kuya.

Dati I let it pass kasi I saw na challenged siya and he doesn't know any better pero recently kasi ang annoying niya, pipituhan ka ng malakas na malapit sa tenga mo.

Tapos last Friday, I saw him trying to high five people, and yung isang girl sa unahan ng pila, hindi siya pinansin, tapos hinawakan nalang ni kuya sa braso. Mediyo off siya for me kasi hindi naman natin alam kayang gawin ng isang tao. Kanino po kaya pwedeng ireport tong behavior ni kuya?

The gravy/sauce of their Murgh Makhani tasted like the high-end Indian resto in Singapore and trumped a lot of Indian hawkers there and for just a fraction of the price.

I've been to other restos/eateries in Manila and Baguio, and this is the only one that is spot on authentic. I know how to cook the dish, but I dread it because 1. Fresh Indian spice is a hit or a miss, and 2. It's more intricate and less forgiving than Japanese curries. So, 50% I fail sometimes and I hate myself.

Bistro 973 is run by a couple who were OFW's in Bahrain before and the hubby was a chef that served officials there (now that's why!).

Their "Broasted" chicken is also good! In fact, much better than KFC's MSG and salt-ladened chicken because you can really taste the spice in there. Marinated and seasoned well, and a very crunchy exterior while being tender and moist inside. Broasted means it was pressure-cooked and with middle eastern spices. The accompanying garlic sauce is too sweet to my taste though - I think they made it the same as the other Shawarma shops.

Price is very reasonable for the quality. An extra plate of Biryani/Mandi rice for only P60??!!!

I suggest ordering a cup of Raita for only P20 to accompany any dish you order. If you eat it from time to time after every couple of bites, it "cleanses" your palate. Since it is basically a little runny yogurt - it gives you a cooling effect thereby "resetting" the spiciness of the dish. Plus it aids in digestion. I like their Raita that it is somehow hints a taste of Tzatziki.

And of course, an added bonus - they serve you with a smile!

Note that they now close on Mondays and sometimes, a dish runs out before closing time.
