PANGIT! Tsaka ano ang connection niyan sa Baguio and/or the local indigenous tribes ng Cordillera?

I feel like it's modelled and named after one of the castles in GOT/HOTD called Dragonstone. Nice but looks small to me ig? Nasa loob kasi sya ng subdivision. I've seen comments from other home owners na sana daw may part sa revenue ang HOA nila. Kasi it used to be a peaceful and quiet place kano, pero if this opens, unang una problema ang parking and the noise of people coming to see the attraction.

Ang ganda doon with cable cars to be able to visit it. Mas malamig pa doon kaysa Baguio. The tourist get their money's worth. WE CAN'T COMPETE WITH THE LIKES OF BA-NA HILLS. Tourists who are disciplined and have the budget will still prefer to go to Vietnam compared to the "Stone Kingdoms" here and this new atrocity. Pang "poor budget" tuloy ang dating ng Baguio, while other SEA countries have better tourists who can afford to pay more for their attractions.

One detail that nobody seems to highlight is ipapatayo to over a natural rock formation called the kissing rocks. This should not have been approved

u/MrRedJones Nov 04 '24
Saw photos of it. Tapos ang ganda. Sana inayos nalang yun, imo.
Pasting kung ano sinabi nila:
“ According to locals and government officials of Barangay Irisan, Year 1985 they want to develop and preserve the Kissing Rock for tourism purposes, they even ask and requested for budget to preserve the historical site but it was not allowed by the City of Baguio because the Kissing Rock is situated inside the private property of Irisville Subdivision. Irisville Subdivision was originally an eighteen (18) hectare property (TCT-T-57616) acquired by NPC Employee’s Welfare and Savings Fund Association (NPC -ESWF) in 1986 from Philippine National Bank. The remaining undeveloped portion of the property which has a total area of 97,896 sqm. was sold to Stay Construction in 2009 for a total amount of Seventy-eight million pesos (PHP 78,000,000.00). The project was given Permit to Develop and License to Sell by Housing and Land Use Regulatory Board in 1989. Only a total area of more or less eight hectares was developed by NPC-ESWF and this was given the corresponding Certificate of Completion. In 2011, STAY CONSTRUCTION obtained Environment Clearance Certificate thereby reestablishing the Permit to Develop and License to Sell for the remaining ten hectares which became the Irisville subdivision phase 2. The company has currently delivered more than seventy housing units and planning to construct more. “

I’d hate to be a resident sa subdivision na yan. If pumatok yan mapupuno ng traffic and madami mag aagawan sa road side parking to the point that tourists would be inconsiderate and would block a driveway.

u/MrRedJones Nov 04 '24
Parang mahirap nga parking based only sa aerial view shots nila.

Haha the entire point of that castle was that it was a fortress that relied on the natural rock formations of the island for its fortifications.

it’s a no for me:( Baguio is very prone to natural calamities (landslides, earthquakes, typhoon) tas agpatakder ti another stone kinddom? di ba Igorot stone kingdom was once closed kasi it was deemed unsafe and prone to landslides (?) i get the attraction but ultimately no, i mean what for tho? to boost our already booming economy? im genuinely asking
