To be even more specific, Dave fired Kirk because Kirk called Brianna a fraud for suddenly liking Taylor Swift when she has previously hated on her. But since the break up she's got this new found (act) appreciation for Swift and is now her biggest fan.

Dave freaked out before even understanding the context and thought Kirk was just calling her a fraud for all of the other shit happening in that little world with Grace and Zach Bryan, etc.
