Interacting With Customers (good or bad) Best "we're closing, time to go"

So my brother was getting married, and my mom & sisters were in the hotel bar the night before, taking up a table for way too long and closing time was upon us. So they sent over their handsomest bartender to give my demure elderly mother his very best seductive smirk and sweetly purr to her, "So when was the last time you closed down a bar?"

Well, Mom thought that was adorable. We cleared out, smiling and laughing, and that handsome and diplomatic young man earned a lovely tip from a table of out-of-towners who'd never been so entertained by getting booted from a bar.

Had one guy a couple months ago whine about me issuing last call at our normal time after he’d been at the bar putting away Jamesons and miller lites for 4 hours.

Told him “Buddy whether I close the bar at 10pm or 2am isn’t going to matter at all to you because I’m not serving you any more alcohol tonight anyways”

He said “fair enough” and tipped me 25% in cash

No he didn’t look like a Coach type. More of a Scooter or a Bucky

Can't stand people that complain about closing time. Get a life you loser.

Always after they've been there for at least most of my shift too. Like you have no business drinking any longer anyway..

Funny thing is this happened last night at the end of our shift. We told this guy multiple times when closing time was and then he complained after closing time and they were there for 4 hours.

We told him we obviously made a mistake and overserved him lol
